Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Thousands of the people of Idleb province on Friday exchanged felicitations with their relatives in Turkey on Eid al-Fitr.
More than 31,000 people crossed Bab al-Hawa border point to congratulate their relatives on a two-day visit.
Governor of Idleb Khaled al-Ahmad highlighted the importance of these meetings where families and relatives gather to exchange congratulations and share the joy of Eid.
He hailed the developed relations between Syria and Turkey which were further consolidated after signing a number of cooperation agreements, setting up joint investment projects and canceling entry visas between the two countries.
"This level of relations indicates that both sides share identical views regarding various issues," al-Ahmad said.
For his part, Governor of the Turkish province of Hatay Mehmet Celalettin Lekesiz pointed out to the historical, cultural and social ties which have bolstered the relations between the two peoples, adding that meetings of families bring happiness and joy and open new horizons with the neighboring Syrian provinces.
Syrian families expressed their happiness on this occasion as they are able to visit their relatives in Turkey benefiting from the facilitations offered by both sides.
In Raqqa province, over 24,000 people crossed the borders through Tal Abyadh center to congratulate their relatives in Turkey on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
